  • Must be under the care of a physician who recommends home health services.
  • Must have a doctor’s confirmation that they’re homebound due to a serious medical condition
  • Meet eligibility requirements for enrollment in Medicare Part A and/or Part B
  • Receive home care services from a Medicare-certified provider

Medicare will offer care for less than eight hours a day and fewer than 28 hours a week. It does not provide round-the-clock care.

Medicaid provides homecare services, including assistance with meals, housekeeping, and other activities of daily living. Eligibility requirements vary from state to state, but all applicants must:
